Niels joins our practice from Belgium, where he's been working in general medicine for 4 years. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Leuven in 2016 and completed his training as a family physician in 2018. Niels aims to provide a wide array of care to his patients and holds a special interest in minor surgery, orthopaedics and sports medicine, which he hopes to further develop during his time in Waihi.
Melissa comes from the Pacific Northwest of the US where she has been working as a family medicine provider in the greater Seattle area. She graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2005 and completed a residency in Family Medicine through the University of Washington in 2008. She has done a fellowship in Integrative Medicine and has a special interest in nutrition, lifestyle and herbal therapies.
Sandie is an alumna of Auckland University Medical School graduating in 1984. She has been working in general practice since 1987. She is interested in all aspects of general practice but with a special interest in women’s health and nutrition. Historically, she has done some acupuncture but now prefers to work on appropriate cases.
Originally from Manchester in the UK, Suzanne obtained her medical degree in London in 2000, and completed her vocational training as a GP in 2004. She emigrated to NZ in 2007 and has worked at Waihi Health Centre since. Her interests include minor surgery, emergency care and teenage health. She runs our school clinic at Waihi College.
